HESED HANDS
WELCOME
We are a non-profit organization that seeks to help individuals in need.
The Hebrew word “khesed” is difficult to translate into English. We believe “Hesed” expresses a sense of love that inspires caring behavior towards our fellow human beings. Jesus spoke of what is known as the “Great Commandment” as described in Matthew 22:35-40. "One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?' Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
WHAT WE DO
Hesed Hands is created to act on the second commandment of “Love your Neighbor” and we do this through an act of kindness. These acts of love may be the purchase of groceries or a needed appliance to the repairing of a home (and anything in-between). These acts of kindness come with dialogue surrounding the First Commandment of “Loving the Lord your God.” In the end, we desire to love our neighbor and bring them to know the Lord. We believe small acts of kindness will open the opportunity to have a dialogue. We will rely on the Holy Spirit to complete the process.
Hesed Hands Mission is to Love Jesus and Love people.
Meet the Team
Richard James / Director
Richard has been married to Becky James since 1990. Richard recently graduated from the Bible Seminary (Katy, TX) with a Master of Arts in Church History and Theology. He has also obtained a MBA from Texas Tech University and a Nursing Degree from San Antonio College.
Richard is currently in the field of Medical Device within the Neuromodulation space. Becky has been an educator during her career and is currently serving as a Reading Specialist.
Both Richard and Becky love the Lord and desire to help our neighbors. They attend Grace Fellowship Church in Katy, Texas.
Brooke Little / Director
Brooke Little recently married Kelly Little. Brooke has a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Texas at Dallas (Dallas, TX).
Brooke is currently utilizing her degree serving as a feeding-swallowing specialized speech-language pathologist at Texas Children’s Hospital (Houston, TX). Kelly currently works in the Medical Device space.
Brooke’s life mission is to Love God and Love Others Well. They attend Parkway Fellowship Church in Richmond, Texas.
Jordan James / Director
Jordan is in pursuit of her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Texas at Dallas (2025 graduation).
She is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Ministry.
Jordan has a heart to help people. She attends Northway Church in Dallas, Texas.
